Bought to replace an old 7" model which the battery has died on.
The palyer looks good open and closed, and is pretty light to carry or sling in the car.
This DVD player has good picture quality for DVDs and shows photos from an SD card very well.
It does not support our HD video recorder format for home shot films though which is disappointing.
My experience is that the battery life doesn't live up to what is quoted, but we have used the player for several short uses with gaps of days in between, which may be the reason for this. Certainly you'll get at least one and half full feature films from a battery charge wihtout any problems.
It takes longer than our previous player to start-up, but once started, it works well.
Our young children find the controls easy to operate without any explanation for long car journeys which is better than our previous player, which resulted in lost of short stops in laybys to change DVD's and restart them.

Bought this as a birthday present for my 3yr old granddaughter. She loves the independence of being able to 'do it' herself! Excellent product, very clear picture, good sound.

realy pleased with this item, it came as indicated and working really well. and good price as well. just thought it should have indicated that remote control batteries were not included but all the same I cannot complain cos it was a really good buy with fast delivery too.

Product Description

The PFS066 Projector Trolley Floor Stand is the ideal projector stand for offices, meeting rooms, and class rooms. It features a removable tray for laptop computers / DVD players / Blu-ray players which feed video source to the projector, as well as a telescopic pole whose height can be easily adjusted from 94 to 144 cm (37" to 56.7").

The PFS066 projector stand use a large tray (40x40cm / 15.7"x15.7") on top to hold the projector, which is big enough for most of the home cinema projectors, artograph projectors, and professional projectors. The tray can tilt upward 5° and downward 10°.

The PFS066 projector trolley / floor stand also have a very handy tray for laptop computers, DVD players, blu-ray players or any other devices which feed signal source to the projector. The trap is attached to the pole via a clamp so it can easly move down/up to a max. height of 77cm / 30". Allcam provide two type of shelf material for this tray: steel (default), or tempered glass (black, £5 extra). You can also add on one or more extra tray (£24.98 each for glass tray).

Prompt delivery in secure packaging and it was fairly easy to assemble. However, I am disappointed because it is not as portable or manoeuvrable as I had hoped ... and the removable tray involves an element of dismantling so it is easier to leave it in place, even when you don't need to use it.

The product is very well designed and constructed, but after you have completed the straight forward assembly you will need space to store the unit. The robustness of the construction means that it could be difficult to transport unless you are prepared and have means to do so.

      I read the other reviews reporting problems connecting direct to a TV but thought I'd be OK having just bought a new Samsung TV (a UE40D7000 - brilliant TV by the way). I was wrong. The drive connects OK but essentially appears as a computer drive. With a DVD I could see individual files and in some cases play them but I couldn't just pop in a DVD and have it come up with the main menu screen. With Blu-Ray I failed to get anything at all.

      Tucked away in the user manual you find:

      Can I watch commercial DVD titles on the TV by using the AV connectivity function?

      To play DVD titles, you need a recorder that can decrypt the encoded DVD
      title. However, since most TVs do not support this function, you cannot
      watch DVD titles by using the AV connectivity function. To watch DVD
      titles, you have to use a DVD player or DVD playing software that runs on a
      computer.

      really good product, light and useful! the only issue is about the two (2) usb needed to support it with connection to the laptop/pc etc... especially for macbook air, this is a disadvantage!!!

      I had no problemns buying this unit as my Father has one, simple connection and does as it say on the box with the bonus on being 3D ready. Not plugged into my television yet as I do not have USB function. I am not gentle on technology and tend to hammer things hard 'figurativly speaking', so far Reads and writes everything I have given it and still comes back for more :) The bundled software also works like a charm to make the whole atching, reading & writing experince even sipler. Thanks Amazon for swift delivery and thanks to Samsung for making a unit that makes 3D accessable to all without the hefty price tag.
