The picture quality is great and, crucially, has a wide viewing angle so it is clear when viewed from the side. The cables are long. We have a 9-seater VW Transporter Shuttle with 3 rows of seats (like a VW Caravelle but a bit bigger) and have it plugged into the cigarette lighter socket in the front, then one screen is set up in the middle row of seats and one in the back. The cables reach perfectly.Headrest attachments are provided. These aren't great but do the job; the screens are held in place with velcro straps and it can take a bit of fiddling to get a secure fit. A carry bag is also provided; this only just fits the two units in, but be aware that there is one so you don't need to buy a separate gadget bag. I got this kit as it ticked all the boxes. There's an integral battery so you can watch when the engine's off/ you're somewhere that it's not plugged in. It can be used as a stand-alone DVD player, plus use it with the camcorder/SD card etc.The car mounting kit is great, installed on the headrests in under five minutes - sturdy mounting kit, that even fits on XC90 seats (they don't have the adjustable height headrests so you can't fit the straps under the rest and over the top like most cars. The straps are long enough to do a cross-over and mount them securely. The functionality is fantastic and picture quality is great. The speakers are OK, but the best thing is that there's an AUX output (for the headphones), so we can plug directly into the car's sound system (AUX lead is not included).This meant that the kids can watch and listen with top quality sound via the car's speakers... So, it makes BIG difference. The only problem with it is that you need 3-4 minutes to strap both screens on the car seats. And if you want to change a DVD, you need to unstrap it, open it, and strap it back. So, it is impossible to do it as a driver, and very difficult, even if you do not drive from the front seat. There are some other products, where the screen is easily detached from the fixing system. Also, it plays some AVI files, but does not plays some others. This is a common problem with most players. You can never be sure of the variety of codecs a player has.... However, in general it has: good price. great viewing angle. usb in. battery for viewing (the master screen only) outside car.
